Welcome to my first attempt to write a blog site. I want to use this site as somewhere to put historical information about Chirk Bank and Gledrid, and intend to write not only about the canal history that is so important here (being part of a World Heritage Site) but also about archaeology, ancient history, and industrial archaeology. I will also put something in about the natural heritage and wildlife. The reason I am doing this is that there is no equivalent website covering this area of interest, and it is an opportunity to pull together all the information into one place.
